The Good Life With Mexican Food Dishes

Written by Gaylene Havor

When we think of traditional Mexican food and easy food recipes, we think of wonderful places like the pyramids of the Indians, the exotic Mexican people and their hot, spicy dishes. And with the thought of Mexico's history, we will naturally realize that Spanish food recipes have greatly influenced Mexican food. However, there's one thing about Mexican food dishes that is uniquely theirs. This is the use of corn. As such, Mexican Tortillas have been and will always be a major part of Mexican cuisine. Thus, if you want to serve your family an authentic Mexican treat, prepare some fried corn Tortillas dipped in Enchilada sauce.

Other ethnic food recipes that are uniquely Mexican are the Burritos and the Enchiladas. Both of these Mexican recipes are made using corn. If you want to make these native dishes more interesting, you can add ground beef or chicken meat to them. Beef, like Chicken, is one of the most commonly used meats in Mexican food recipes, and the great number of beef recipe and chicken recipe can attest to their popularity.

Mexicans also love hamburger meat so this is one of the well-loved Mexican ground beef recipes. They also mix ground beef with Enchilada sauce to make a rich and meaty sauce for their Tortillas. Such a sauce is definitely hot, tangy and spicy with the addition of traditional Mexican spices. The Mexicans are also known for their casserole recipes and baked chicken recipes.

For desserts, the Mexicans have a wide variety of sweets to offer. They have chocolate cake recipes, naturally. Chocolate, as we all know, came from Mexico and is now known as the most popular dessert worldwide. Mexican desserts therefore are easy food recipes and use a lot of chocolate, say, the chocolate-banana burrito and the Ancho Chile Fudge Pie. They also have their own versions of American desserts like the ice-cream sundae.
